Welcome to our website, at Dothan Livestock Co., our first
responsibility is to you, our customer. We greatly appreciate your
business and will continue to do our best to sell your cattle for the
highest possible price.
We sort and group cattle when the cattle are of the kind that selling
in groups will add value. Of course all cattle will not group up, and some
will sell better one at a time. We sell truckload lots through our ring
and will have all of our regular buyers, as well as buyers on the
telephone. We believe that we have more regular buyers than any cattle
sale in the area.
We also have video board sales where we go to the farm or ranch and
film the cattle to be sold in truckload lots. We email links to our
website to our list of buyers, so they can go to our website and view the
cattle, ahead of sale time. We set a time on our regular sale day, usually
2:00 p.m., and offer your cattle not only to our buyers around the ring,
but also buyers on a telephone conference call. We believe presenting the
cattle to our live buyers as well as our conference call buyers at the
same time enables us to create more competition and get you more for your
cattle.
We have always had replacement cow sales, as often as consignments
permit on the second Friday of the month at 12:00 noon. We offer cow/calf
pairs, bred cows and heifers, and some breeding bulls. We try to offer
good quality replacements. We mouth and age all cows on these sales and
call them accordingly.
We are now your source for Nichols Farms bulls, Angus, black Simmental,
SimAngus, and other composites are available. Nichols Farms in
Bridgewater, IA, is one of the oldest angus seed stock producers as well
as one of the oldest black Simmental seed stock producers, in the nation.
We should have bulls available beginning in November.
If we can help you in any way with your cattle, please call us.
